My Guest Spot on the 7PM Project - NAPLAN rorting

Lately this blog has been pretty heavy on standardised testing. I've been inundated with emails, stories, and requests from media as a result of my Sydney Morning Herald opinion piece, TODAY show appearances (here and here), radio and news interviews, and more.

I'm passionate about this issue because of the negative ramifications that it has for our children. When we give them uninspiring lessons at school, demand that they practice test-taking at home, and reduce their options for broad educational experiences we're hurting them, their love of learning, and their future.

After more reports of NAPLAN rorting, I was asked to appear on the 7PM project last night. Here's the video.

Note - You'll need to move the cursor to 3:23 as there's a story about Arnold Schwarzenegger before my appearance.

That's likely to be all I'll have to say about standardised testing for a while. I think it's time we get back to some other parenting info.
